SALEM — Dr. Nancy Boutin, a Salem radiation oncologist, has been awarded Marion-Polk County Medical Society’s prestigious President’s Achievement Award.
The President’s Achievement Award recognizes doctors who have accomplished a noble deed in their lifetime. As a 22-year veteran of the Salem medical community, Boutin was instrumental in starting and pioneering the Palliative Care program at Salem Health, which focuses on improving comfort and quality of life for patients who are facing life threatening or chronic illness.

February 10, 2012 -- As part of its annual grant initiative funding projects, The Kaiser Permanente Community Fund awarded more than $2 million in grant funds to aid 19 organizations that address the social determinants of health in Oregon and Southwest Washington.
