Dear readers,

Whether you’re a long-time reader or someone who discovered The Lund Report recently, we thank you for relying on us for independent news about health care in our region.

Having readers like you who understand the importance of health care allows us to focus on stories that matter to Oregonians and cover topics that other media outlets often ignore.

Over the last year, we’ve been working hard to bring you hard-hitting investigations while broadening our coverage of important changes in health care, trends and emerging issues, as well as promising policy changes that have real-life impact. We’ve brought you articles about everything from recent windfall profits made off Oregon’s health care program for low-income people to little-noticed aspects of the implementation of Measure 110. We’ve broken important stories providing data and insights that go beneath the surface. Our work has continued to drive interest in the Oregon Legislature and in Congress, fueling heightened focus on problems and reforms.

If you already subscribe to us for full and immediate access to our work, we are deeply grateful. And here’s another way readers can support us. This week we launched our year-end fundraising campaign with Give!Guide, Willamette Week’s engine to promote community giving that runs through Dec. 31. We would appreciate your help to meet our goal of raising $30,000 to support our public-service journalism.

We’re pleased to announce that this year, all donations of $1,000 or less — up to $13,000 — will be matched by NewsMatch, a project  of the Institute for Nonprofit News to support quality nonprofit journalism. And this year, any supporter who donates $50 or more through Give!Guide wins a chance for a night of fun, including a hotel stay, dinner and a show, at the ilani resort, just north of Portland.

You can support our journalism here

Without your support, this work would not be happening. Thank you.
