Mark Bonanno, JD, MPH, is the new general counsel and director of health policy for the Oregon Medical Association (OMA). Bonanno is a private practice health care attorney and no stranger to the OMA. He’s served as a health care compliance instructor for OMA physician directed workshops.
Sylvia Emory, MD, a Eugene family physician, was installed Friday as the 140th President of the Oregon Medical Association at the OMA’s Annual Meeting at the Nines hotel in downtown Portland.
Dr. Emory was born in Michigan but raised in Eugene and considers herself an Oregonian.

The Oregon Medical Association’s second annual Care Connection Health Fair will offer free health screenings, basic care and education for uninsured and underinsured adults from 8:30 am until 3:00 pm on April 26 at Pioneer Courthouse Square in downtown Portland.
