June 5, 2013 -- Chris DeMars has accepted a new position as Director of Systems Innovation with the Oregon Health Authority's Health System Transformation Center. She spent most of the past eight years with the Northwest Health Foundation managing the Foundation’s healthcare reform focus area.
January 24 – The Northwest Health Foundation has named Donalda Dodson to its governing board of directors, following a selection process overseen by its nominating committee.
Dodson is executive director of the Oregon Child Development Coalition, one of the largest early childhood care and education networks in Oregon, and the state’s sixth largest non-profit organization. The Coalition serves over 4,000 children and families in 13 Oregon counties each year. Previously, she was administrator of the Oregon Office of Family Health.
June 21, 2012 -- The town of Odell sits just five miles away from the famously active community of Hood River. But until recently, Odell residents – 40 percent of whom are Latino – lacked one of the key components to staying active themselves: a city park.That changed last summer, due to funds from Oregon State Parks and the Northwest Health Foundation – as well as a community engagement process the Foundation hopes to see other communities repeat with a newly available grant award.
