Northwest Health Foundation Names Donalda Dodson to Board

January 24 – The Northwest Health Foundation has named Donalda Dodson to its governing board of directors, following a selection process overseen by its nominating committee. Dodson is executive director of the Oregon Child Development Coalition, one of the largest early childhood care and education networks in Oregon, and the state’s sixth largest non-profit organization. The Coalition serves over 4,000 children and families in 13 Oregon counties each year. Previously, she was administrator of the Oregon Office of Family Health.

January 24 – The Northwest Health Foundation has named Donalda Dodson to its governing board of directors, following a selection process overseen by its nominating committee.

Dodson is executive director of the Oregon Child Development Coalition, one of the largest early childhood care and education networks in Oregon, and the state’s sixth largest non-profit organization. The Coalition serves over 4,000 children and families in 13 Oregon counties each year. Previously, she was administrator of the Oregon Office of Family Health. 

Her other board and committee involvement incudes serving as chair of the Oregon Oral Health Coalition board, and serving on the board of the Oregon Hunger Relief Task Force. She is a member of the Oregon Head Start Association’s Legislative Committee and a past member of the Oregon Environmental Quality Commission.  She is a native Oregonian who lives in Salem.

“We know that healthy communities in Oregon and SW Washington aren’t achievable without healthy environments for our children,” said Foundation president Nichole Maher. “We’re looking forward to benefiting from Donalda’s perspective in helping us improve the health of our region.”

Dodson fills the position formerly held by Pacific University president Lesley Hallick, upon completion of Hallick’s eight-year term on the Northwest Health Foundation board.
