Antibiotics are prescribed less often in Oregon than in other states, but their unnecessary use continues, and that can lead to more cases of potentially deadly drug resistance, state public health officials say.
Oregon’s local coordinated care organizations (CCOs) are improving care in several key areas and holding down costs, according to information released today by the Oregon Health Authority. CCOs began serving Oregon Health Plan members in 2012.
