What: The second of three meetings for a workgroup – as mandated by HB2445 – to develop recommendations for:

    

  • Optimizing the effective and efficient use of school-based health centers (SBHC) by coordinated care organizations, including effective coordination of care and reimbursement.
  • Ensuring the coordination and disclosure of protected health information by school-based health centers in accordance with ORS 414.679.
  • Developing financial incentives described in ORS 413.225 (4).

 

The legislation requires the Oregon Health Authority to report on the progress of the work group to an interim committee related to health on or before Dec. 31, 2013.

Who: As outlined in the legislation, the workgroup consists of representatives of medical sponsors of school-based health centers; local public health authorities; school-based health center coordinators or staff; schools using school-based health centers; coordinated care organizations; and the Oregon Health Authority.
