Trillium Community Health Plan, the Coordinated Care Organization (CCO) in Lane County, is awarding one million dollars in Transformation Grants to assist in innovative programs that will help create a new system of healthcare. Grant recipients were selected based on their organizations ability to demonstrate the proposed program was both innovative and transformative.

Editor’s Note: There had been speculation that Cedar Hills Psychiatric Hospital had been sold to United Behavioral Health, however The Lund Report learned that its parent company, Ascend Health Corporation, sold its holdings to Universal Health Services, Inc.

Oregon Health Authority Certifies FamilyCare, Inc. as a Coordinated Care Organization, First in the Tri-County Area

June 28, 2012 -- The Oregon Health Authority has awarded FamilyCare Inc., full certification to contract with the state as a Coordinated Care Organization (CCO). The certification is effective August 1, 2012, making FamilyCare, Inc., the first CCO to operate in the tri-county area (Multnomah, Washington, and Clackamas). The term of the certification is for five years, through December 31, 2017.
