The Chief Medical Officer directs the medical staff and programs of the organization’s clinical sites. Works closely with the clinical staff, department directors, and physicians to ensure that highest standards of quality, service, and education are maintained. Will work as a practitioner one clinic shift per semester to accurately assess the current status of the health centers. As the chief medical officer of the University, this person is responsible for development and implementation of all clinical policies, as well as maintaining compliance with all governmental, insurance, and accreditation rules and regulations. The CMO is the ultimate authority on all medical issues and is the primary medical spokesperson for the University.
