The Oregon Public Health Institute (OPHI) is a leader in creating healthier communities throughout the state of Oregon. By educating and convening diverse communities and organizations, OPHI breaks down silos and supports meaningful community-led collaborations that demonstrates health is more than healthcare. OPHI is a nonprofit organization that is committed to improving equity, honoring diversity and reducing disparities. They are seeking to diversify their team, with an immediate hire for an open position.

OPHI is seeking a Project Manager to join our team, to support one of the organization’s programs, and to support future projects under OPHI’s new strategic growth. The OPHI program, Right From The Start (RFTS), is managed by OPHI for Multnomah County Health Department (MCHD). OPHI developed the Right from the Start Childcare Assessment with licensed child care providers in Multnomah County. They use the findings to drive improvements in the child care system, to provide meaningful recommendations for training and support of child care providers and to collaborate with public health and child care partners on evidence-based strategies for healthy child care. The RFTS Project Manager will work directly with Multnomah County Health Department staff, and staff from the Oregon State University Extension Service Nutrition Education Program. The Project Manager would also manage and coordinate a Right from Start Coalition, which consists of over a dozen community based, social services, and health care organizations. The Project Manager would directly interface with child care centers such as daycares, and a network of Family, Friends, and Neighbors child care providers.
