The Oregon Medical Board is searching for an Executive Director with extensive knowledge of management principles, law, and medicine to provide competent leadership to highly educated Board members who are leaders in medicine in their communities. This position is appointed by the Board, serving at the pleasure of the Governor, and must establish effective working relationships and communications with the Board and the Office of the Governor.
The Executive Director is responsible for ensuring that the mission of the Board is met through strategic planning, legislative and administrative rule coordination, and oversight of all agency activities. The Executive Director represents the agency to the governor, legislature, and other state/federal/local governmental institutions, professional organizations, licensees, citizen groups, the media, and the general public.
