Dr. Richard Popiel Replaces Dr. Ralph Prows as Chief Medical Officer for Regence Health Plans

November 7, 2012 -- We are incredibly pleased that Dr. Richard Popiel has joined Regence as our new Senior Vice President, Health Care Services and Chief Medical Officer for Regence Health Plans. Dr. Popiel has extensive strategic and operational experience across a diverse spectrum of health care settings. He has become well known for his ability to rethink how quality care is delivered and how to control costs - skills and experience that will positively impact the service and care our members receive.

Regence Welcomes Angela Dowling as Vice President of Oregon Sales

May 11, 2012 -- Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon is pleased to welcome Angela Dowling as vice president of sales. She joined the company on May 7.

Angela comes to Regence with an extensive senior sales leadership background, most recently with Payne Financial Group, Inc., one of the largest independently owned insurance agencies in the United States. Based in Helena, Montana, she served as Chief Revenue Officer.

Adventist Health, Regence and Tuality Healthcare Announce Individual Health Care Partnership

Select members in the Portland area transitioned to Adventist and Tuality Health Systems

April 23, 2012 -- Adventist Health, Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon and Tuality Healthcare have entered into a partnership to provide in-network care to select Individual members in the Portland metropolitan area.

Beginning October 1, 2012, select Regence Individual members will be transitioned from their current PPO network to one of two Oregon Select networks in a move designed to provide members continued quality care and monthly premium affordability. Recognized for Transparency Innovation

Regence to Discontinue Select Individual Products in Oregon

Product changes expected to improve premium affordability

April 25, 2012 -- Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon has notified the Oregon Insurance Division and the Oregon Family Health Insurance Assistance Program of an upcoming discontinuation of select Individual insurance products.

Beginning October 1, 2012, Regence will commence a 12-month rolling discontinuation of the following plans in the Individual market:
