Oregon Specialty Group is a physician-owned, multidisciplinary medical group that has served the community for over 20 years. With more than 270 employees, including 24 physicians, 18 advanced practice providers, and a committed leadership team of 6 Directors, OSG delivers specialty care with a personalized approach rooted in innovation, compassion, and excellence.

Our integrated specialties provide coordinated care for patients navigating complex conditions. We operate outpatient clinics, specialty pharmacies, and infusion centers throughout the region and are recognized for both clinical expertise and operational efficiency.

Position Summary
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is the senior-most executive leader of Oregon Specialty Group, responsible for setting and executing the strategic vision of the organization in partnership with the Board and physician partners. The CEO provides overall leadership for all clinical operations, administrative functions, business development, and organizational performance.

The ideal candidate is a visionary, operationally savvy, and collaborative leader who understands the unique dynamics of a physician-owned, multi-specialty practice and can lead through a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Organizational Leadership

  • Develop and execute a long-range strategic plan aligned with OSG’s mission, values, and growth goals.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Board, facilitating effective governance, alignment, and decision-making.
  • Lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, including value-based care models, digital health expansion, and service line development.

Clinical & Operational Oversight

  • Oversee clinical operations and support structures that enable excellence in quality, safety, and patient outcomes.
  • Ensure operational efficiency across departments including HR, Finance, IT, Compliance, and Revenue Cycle.
  • Champion evidence-based care models and operational innovations that improve access, experience, and affordability.

Financial Stewardship

  • Lead the development of annual budgets, multi-year capital planning, and financial forecasts.
  • Maintain financial health and sustainability, ensuring efficient drug procurement, reimbursement optimization, and disciplined capital allocation.
  • Oversee investment strategies, retirement plans, and vendor negotiations.

Workforce & Culture Development

  • Foster a high-performance culture that is mission-driven, inclusive, and committed to professional growth.
  • Promote talent development, physician leadership, and succession planning throughout the organization.
  • Serve as an accessible and visible leader to all employees, modeling transparency, accountability, and respect.

Growth, Partnerships & Innovation

  • Identify and execute business development opportunities including affiliations, partnerships, joint ventures, and M&A.
  • Serve as the external face of the organization to health systems, payers, government agencies, and industry stakeholders.
  • Guide real estate, facility development, and geographic expansion projects to support long-term growth.

Regulatory, Quality, & Compliance Leadership

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations, licensing requirements, and risk management protocols.
  • Oversee internal and external audits, quality improvement programs, and research integrity.
  • Monitor performance metrics and lead continuous improvement efforts across clinical and administrative domains.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Education & Credentials

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, MPH) or equivalent preferred.

Experience & Competencies

  • 10+ years of senior executive leadership in healthcare delivery, ideally in a multi-specialty or physician-owned group.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic planning, financial management, and operational excellence.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare market trends, regulatory environments, and private practice dynamics.
  • Proven track record in leading through change, growth, and innovation.
  • Private practice or oncology experience strongly preferred.
