Oregon Health Forum Launches New Website

June 21, 2017

The Oregon Health Forum, The Lund Report’s educational arm, has launched a redesigned website ahead of a fall event program that will begin with a look at healthcare in public schools. The site, at www.oregonhealthforum.org, was developed by Portland-based Parachute Strategies, with the goal of improving navigation and modernizing design.

"We want to hear from you, our audience, about topics we should explore at future breakfast forums," said Oregon Health Forum Executive Director Diane Lund-Muzikant, founder and board chair of The Lund Report. "Industry professionals can also sponsor our events and reach an engaged and influential audience. And for the first time, we've creating a mechanism so our attendees can sponsor medical students."

The Oregon Health Forum fosters discussion and education through a series of breakfast discussions on healthcare topics. Recent events have examined the unintended consequences of cannabis legalization, efforts to collaborate Medicaid and county mental health resources and the status of legislation being considered this session in Salem.

The next event, scheduled for 7 a.m. Aug. 23, will bring together policy makers and practitioners who believe it’s time to start a conversation about how Oregon breaks down the wall between K-12 funding and healthcare budgets. In Medicaid billing alone, schools are leaving upwards of $40 million on the table.

Panelists will include Kim Bartholemew, a school nurse with the Beaverton School District; Sandra Clark, population health director with FamilyCare Health; state Rep. Julie Parrish, R-Tualatin; and Dr. Lisa Bisgard, chief of pediatrics with Kaiser Permanente.
