December 14, 2011 -- Mike McCormick will become deputy director of Aging and People with Disabilities (APD) programs in January.  That agency is still without a permanent director, following the resignation of James Toews earlier this year.

According to an announcement from Errin Kelly-Siel, director of the Department of Human Services, “Mike is excited about supporting the effort to take Oregon's nationally recognized service delivery to seniors and people with disabilities into the future. He recognizes the importance of building on our successes to date, with a focus on consumer outcomes and engagement, strong business partnerships, and strong connections between central supports and our service delivery system.

Currently, he leads the Office of Rates, Contracting and Research and transferred to the Seniors and People with Disabilities Division in 2007 after joining state government as an internal auditor for the Department of Administrative Services in 1996.
