Insurance Division Announces Rate Hearings Schedule

The hearings begin June 23 in Salem and people can either attend in person or viewed online.

ATRIO Health Plans, based in Salem, landed the first spot on the calendar for its rate review hearing before the Oregon Insurance Division.

On June 23, the Division will also consider rate requests from Health Republic, PacificSource and LIfeWise.

The following day it’s Trillium’s turn, along with Health Net Health Plan, Regence BlueCross BlueShield, BridgeSpan, Oregon Health CO-OP and Moda Health.

The hearings will wrap up on June 25, and the docket includes United Healthcare, Samaritan Health Plan, Zoom Insurance, Providence Health Plan and Kaiser.

Final decisions will be announced on July 1.

All the hearings start at 9 a.m., and are being held in Room 260 of the Labor and Industries Building located at 350 Winter St. NE in Salem.

People can comment on the company’s rate request in any of the following ways:

  • In person at the hearing. To testify at the hearing, please sign up at the reception table when you arrive.
  • By phone during the hearing.

To testify by phone, please e-mail [email protected] by 11 a.m. June 17 with your name and phone number. We will call you during the public testimony portion of the hearing, following all in-person testimony. Phone testimony will be taken as time allows in the order we receive e-mail requests.

Hearings can be attended in public or viewed online via live streaming. Each hearing will have a dedicated public comment period. Written public comment will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. on June 25, 2015.
