Oregon Patient Safety Commission is looking for a Director of Infection Prevention. The Director of Infection Prevention oversees the coordination and administration of the grant-funded infection prevention quality improvement initiatives of the Oregon Patient Safety Commission (OPSC). Through these initiatives, the director provides infection prevention expertise and consultation to healthcare organizations throughout Oregon. A key role of the Director is to collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategies to improve the infection prevention infrastructure in Oregon healthcare facilities. While the Director’s specific responsibilities vary based on individual grant requirements, they may include overseeing quality improvement collaboratives and developing training curriculum and materials based on current best practices. This role integrates strategic planning, project management, knowledge of regulatory requirements, public health and epidemiologic principles, current research, and program evaluation. The director works with and reports to OSPC’s Executive Director and supervises two professional staff and several contract employees.
