Don’t Miss Our Legislative Breakfast Forum on January 27

You’ll get a preview of what to expect during the February Legislative Session
January 20, 2016

If you’re thinking about attending our legislative breakfast forum on January 27, you might not want to wait any further because we’re very close to closing registration.

We’re bringing together some of the most influential legislators to get a preview of the health policy and environmental health bills facing the February session.

On January 27, you’ll hear from:

  • Sen. Michael Dembrow
  • Rep. Mitch Greenlick
  • Rep. Alissa Keny-Guyer
  • Rep. Julie Parrish, and
  • Sen. Elizabeth Steiner Hayward

The panel will be moderated by Jesse O'Brien, policy director at OSPIRG.

This provocative event gets underway at the Multnomah Athletic Club at 7 a.m. and is sponsored by Oregon Health Forum and the Oregon Environmental Council.

We also have a limited number of sponsorship opportunities. Please contact our development director, Janet Grubel at [email protected] for details.

Lynne Saxton, director of the Oregon Health Authority, hinted at what to expect when she appeared at our December breakfast forum, which drew a capacity crowd of more than 200 attendees. “We have to make gains in public health that will pay off in overall health,” she said, referencing Rep. Mitch Greenlick, D-Portland, who’s heading that initiative.

We’ve also scheduled a March 31 breakfast forum with SEIU to discuss the future of the healthcare work force. Stay tuned for details.

Oregon Health Forum is the educational arm of The Lund Report, and provides a place where healthcare leaders can discuss pivotal issues and interact with their colleagues. The public is welcome to attend these breakfast forums held at the Multnomah Athletic Club.
