Don't Miss Our Breakfast Forum Next Wednesday

July 6, 2016

With the Democratic Convention just weeks ago, will the health plan envisioned by Bernie Sanders become part of the party’s platform? And, what’s the future look like for a single payer health system in Oregon now that the Oregon Health Authority has commissioned an in-depth study to probe into the pros and cons?

You can learn the answers to these provocative questions at the July 13 breakfast forum sponsored by Oregon Health Forum in collaboration with Oregon Physicians for a National Health Program.

The forum gets underway at 7 a.m. at the Multnomah Athletic Club, located at 1849 SW Salmon.

You’ll hear from a panel of experts including:

  • Sen. Michael Dembrow, D-Portland
  • Chris Lowe, Bernie Sanders campaign
  • Dr. Samuel Metz, Oregon Physicians for a National Health Program
  • Jim Thompson, former vice-chair of the Oregon House Healthcare Committee.

Our moderator will be Tim Nesbitt, columnist for The Oregonian.

We are pleased that PH Tech has agreed to co-sponsor this event. If your organization is interested in a similar opportunity, contact Diane Lund-Muzikant, executive director. We also welcome your ideas for future breakfast forums.

Oregon Health Forum is the educational arm of The Lund Report and collaborates with other nonprofit organizations to sponsor its monthly breakfast forums.
