A key figure who led efforts to pass landmark legislation in California focused on soaring prescription drug costs will appear at the Oregon Health Forum breakfast next Wednesday Sept. 27. This is an event you won’t want to miss.
Mario Yedidia, the senior analyst for Health Care Initiatives, was instrumental in helping pass Senate Bill 17 in the California State Assembly last week. That bill requires drug makers to provide purchasers with advance notice of big price increases on certain prescription drugs. Health plans will also be required to report drug spending information to state regulators. Mario will also be representing UNITE HERE as a member the coalition: Oregonians for Affordable Drug Prices
