The February legislative session is fast approaching, and you can learn what to expect by attending our January 27 breakfast forum

Oregon Health Forum has teamed up with the Oregon Environmental Council to bring together legislators who will drive the health policy and environmental health agenda during the February session.

Lynne Saxton, director of the Oregon Health Authority, hinted at what to expect when she appeared at our breakfast forum yesterday which drew more than 200 attendees. “We have to make gains in public health that will pay off in overall health,” she said, referencing Rep. Mitch Greenlick, D-Portland, who’s heading that initiative.

Join us for this interactive forum on January 27 at the Multnomah Athletic Club that gets underway at 7 a.m. You’ll hear from:

  • Sen. Michael Dembrow
  • Rep. Mitch Greenlick
  • Rep. Alissa Keny-Guyer
  • Rep. Julie Parrish, and
  • Sen. Elizabeth Steiner Hayward

Once again, Tim Nesbitt, a public policy consultant and a contributing columnist for The Oregonian, will moderate.

If your organization is interested in co-sponsoring this event, please contact Janet Grubel, our development director, at [email protected].

We’ve also scheduled a March 31 breakfast forum with SEIU to discuss how healthcare workers are faring in these challenging times.

Many thanks to the sponsors of yesterday’s breakfast forum – we couldn’t have done it without you -- Advantage Health, Atrio Health Plans, Kaiser Permanente, the Kartini Clinic, ZOOM+Care and Zip Cars.
