ZoomCare Pearl District Clinic Now Open Until Midnight

April 1, 2013

April 1, 2013 -- ZoomCare, the innovative healthcare company that is building the world's first neighborhood clinic and smart phone-based healthcare delivery system now enables patients to avoid costly emergency room visits, long waits and impersonal care for nonlife threatening medical visits.  ZoomCare’s Pearl District clinic located at 202 NW 13th Avenue in Portland, Oregon will now be open weekdays from 8:00am to Midnight. No other clinic in the Portland Metropolitan area is open this late.   The savings are dramatic for patients, and their employers and insurers who pay the claims. An analysis of ZoomCare’s own employee usage of emergency rooms showed that offering an ER alternative reduces costs by $1,000-$3,000 per visit.  And, ZoomCare provides no-wait appointments, excellent customer service and the convenience of inexpensive prescription medications at a clinic in the heart of Portland, avoiding an extra  trip to the pharmacy.  The ZoomCare Pearl Clinic “midnight” service will be staffed by ZoomCare’s clinical team of primary care specialists, consisting of board certified doctors, physician assistants and nurse practitioners.   “When your fever spikes at 11:00pm or a child has a late-night ear infection, ZoomCare is the most cost-effective, convenient choice for quality care,” said Dave Sanders MD, co-founder and CEO of ZoomCare. “We’re building a healthcare system around patients  who are demanding an alternative to the high-cost and hassles of emergency rooms.”
