May 7, 2012 -- ZoomCare believes that good health makes people happier and more productive. They live longer, enjoy life and contribute to their communities in immeasurable ways. ZoomCare provides great care at an affordable price, yet some people need a little extra help now and then. ZoomCare created the ZoomCare Foundation to fill that need.

Starting on May 10 and continuing on the 2nd Thursday of every month,
ZoomCare Foundation will support free clinic appointments from 6-9pm at ZoomCare’s Mississippi Ave. clinic at 3872 N. Mississippi Avenue in Portland, Oregon. ZoomCare providers and staff will be on hand to diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries.

We’re calling this ZoomCare Free Nights.

“Many people unfortunately have limited to no access to healthcare in their own neighborhoods,” said David Sanders MD, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of ZoomCare. “Through ZoomCare Foundation, we plan to mobilize our resources, partner with other non-profit organizations, and involve ZoomCare customers to keep our neighborhoods healthy.”

To launch ZoomCare Free Nights, ZoomCare Foundation partnered with The Coalition of Community Health Clinics, a local non-profit dedicated to improving healthcare for vulnerable populations by fostering greater collaboration across the safety net delivery system. “Providing under-served communities with access to healthcare is one of the fundamental challenges of our time,” said Sam Chase,
Executive Director of the Coalition. “We greatly appreciate ZoomCare’s efforts to meet some of that demand through monthly free clinics at its Mississippi Avenue neighborhood location. This generous contribution will help support families at a time when they need it most.”
