Martha McCormack is currently a doctoral student in social work research at Portland State University. This endeavor follows her 25 year career in children's publicly funded mental health services, where she held such positions as therapist, clinical supervisor, program manager, director, and educator within three major agencies across Oregon and Washington.  Using a strengths-based, family empowering model of service planning, coupled with the supportive role of a family partner (one who has been "through it"), families reported a greater sense of empowerment, less family strain, and more closeness with their children.  Now in her doctoral program,  Martha's  area of research focus is caregiver strain in families raising children with mental health conditions

All lectures are free and open to the public; no registration required.
