WMC Mobile Clinic Rolls To Head Start

Immunizations and Exams Help Get Ready for Pre-School
August 6, 2015

The Wallace Medical Concern (WMC) will offer “back to school” medical services to children and families served by Mount Hood Community College (MHCC) Head Start. WMC’s team of medical providers and the agency’s mobile medical clinic will be on site at the College, offering immunizations; Well Child exams; and medical care for children and family members as needed. Additional activities will include health insurance enrollment assistance, kids’ activities, and refreshments/snacks.

WHO:                   WMC will bring its entire provider and clinic support team to the event. Other community partners will be present to provide additional services, at the invitation of event organizer, MHCC Head Start.

WHERE:               Mt. Hood Community College, 2600 SE Stark Street, Gresham, OR  97030. Event site: Outdoors near the Early Learning Center on campus.

WHEN:                 Friday, August 14, 2015 – 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

WHY:                    Immunizations are required by Head Start prior to the start of school; WMC will not turn any child away based on insurance status or ability to pay. The event also offers families an opportunity to become familiar with services offered by WMC, a primary care home for ongoing pediatric and family medical care.
