Western University elects Jeff Heatherington to Board of Trustees

PORTLAND, Ore. (January 10, 2017) – FamilyCare Health is pleased to announce that President and CEO Jeff Heatherington has been chosen as a member of the Board of Trustees of Western University of Health Sciences (WesternU) in Pomona, California.

WesternU is the largest graduate health professions university west of the Mississippi, encompassing nine graduate medical programs in Pomona, California, and an Osteopathic Medical College in Lebanon, Oregon. It was founded as a nonprofit educational institution in 1977.

Heatherington was one of the founders of WesternU’s College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific-Northwest in Lebanon. He has a long history of supporting and advocating for the osteopathic profession, including service as executive director of the Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons of Oregon (OPSO) for 30 years and as founder and president of FamilyCare since 1985.
