Upcoming Chapter Sponsored Event

The PSU & OHSU IHI Open School Chapter, Physicians for a National Health Program and Students for a National Health Program invite you to: Dr. Joshua Freeman: American Healthcare: Best in the World?
March 2, 2016

When: March 7th, 2016 from 12pm-1:00pm
Where: Collaborative Life Science Building-Room 2S020/22
Who: Please RSVP to Chang Lee, [email protected]
What: American leaders frequently refer to our healthcare system as “the best in the world.”In many ways that may be true. But in others, our healthcare system is deficient. Dr. Freeman will review how our healthcare appears in light of how other countries provide care for their residents. This informal lunchtime talk will allow ample time for audience questions and comments.

**Lunch will be provided**

Looking for ways to get involved with the Chapter?

The Conversation Project, a Chapter sponsored project,  is currently seeking students to get involved with this exciting IHI sponsored project. If interested, please [email protected]

The Conversation Project is dedicated to helping people talk about their wishes for end-of-life care. Too many people die in a way they wouldn't choose, and too many of their loved ones are left feeling bereaved, guilty, and uncertain.  It's time to transform our culture so we shift from not talking about dying to talking about it. We believe that the place for this to begin is at the kitchen table-not in the intensive care unit-with the people we love, before it's too late.
