HILLSBORO, Oregon — As part of Tuality’s strategic efforts for growth and continued clinical integration with Oregon Health & Science University, on July 1, the Tuality Community Hospital Emergency Department welcomed ten new emergency physicians and one physician assistant from OHSU as permanent additions to the care team. Tuality previously contracted with an outside service to provide emergency care at its Hillsboro hospital location. 11 of the providers contracted with that service transitioned to OHSU employment to continue serving Tuality patients and maintain continuity of care.
One of the OHSU physicians joining the team, Meg Dehning, M.D., will serve as director of emergency medicine.
“The Emergency Department is the 'door to the hospital' which makes the ED uniquely positioned to create a lasting impression upon each patient that comes through the doors,” Dr. Dehning says. “We are privileged to have a wide range of faculty joining us including ultrasound, wilderness medicine and toxicology trained physicians. I know our group will continue the excellent care that has been provided while continually looking for ways to improve patient care.”
