Trustees named to Emanuel Medical Center Foundation Board

PORTLAND, ORE. -- Emanuel Medical Center Foundation is pleased to announce Ernest E. Cooper, Michael E. Lewellen and Frank B. Piacentini have been elected to its board of trustees. The Foundation advocates and raises funds for Legacy Emanuel Medical Center, part of Legacy Health -- the largest local, nonprofit health care provider in Oregon and Southwest Washington. 


Cooper is the owner and principal broker of Cooper Realty, a local real estate group he founded in 2013. He studied business and real estate at Midland Community College in Midland, Texas, and earned an associate's degree in business and real estate from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin in Odessa, Texas. 


Lewellen is vice president of corporate communications and public engagement for the Portland Trail Blazers. He holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Arkansas State University and is an accredited public relations practitioner through the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and International Association of Business Communicators. An active member of the community, Lewellen serves on the board of directors of the Portland Trail Blazers Foundation, the Urban League of Portland, All Hands Raised, PRSA--Oregon Chapter and the Corporate Advisory Board for the Oregon Association of Minority Entrepreneurs. 


A real estate investor and broker, Piacentini is president of Gresham Development Company and the owner of FBP Consulting and K2P, which partners with Springbrook Apartments, Woodview Village Apartments and the Hilltop House Apartments. He also is a partner in Two Eagles Enterprises and Oakridge Associates. He received a bachelor's degree in urban planning from Occidental College in Los Angeles.
