Trudy Townsend Joins PacificSource Community Solutions as Community Health Development Coordinator for the Columbia Gorge

(BEND, Ore.)— PacificSource Community Solutions has hired Trudy Townsend to lead Community Health Development projects through the Columbia Gorge Coordinated Care Organization (CCO).

In her role, Townsend will facilitate individual and population health improvement across the Columbia Gorge CCO. She will work closely with a variety of partners, including the Columbia Gorge Health Council and regional health care and social service providers. The PacificSource Columbia Gorge CCO serves more than 12,700 Oregon Health Plan members in Hood River and Wasco counties.

“With her extensive work in past years across multiple sectors in our community, Trudy brings a wealth of tools and wisdom to this work,” said Kristen Dillon, Pacific Source Health Plan’s Director of the Columbia Gorge CCO. “She’s a proven leader and change agent across schools, government, and social services. We feel lucky to have her joining our work in healthcare.”

Prior to joining PacificSource, Townsend worked as a Trauma Informed Care Coordinator for Creating Sanctuary in the Columbia River Gorge. She also served as a project director of the Safe Schools Healthy Students Initiative at the North Wasco County School District and as a community mobilization expert at the Wasco County Commission on Children and Families. She has been working to improve outcomes for children and families in the Columbia Gorge for more than 15 years.
