Susan McMaster Joins PacificSource Health Plans as Vice President of Enterprise Marketing and Communications

Health insurance marketing expert brings 15 years of industry experience in optimizing communication processes

(PORTLAND, Ore.)— PacificSource Health Plans has hired Susan McMaster, one of the Northwest’s leading health insurance marketing experts, as the company’s new Vice President of Enterprise Marketing and Communications.   

In her new role, McMaster will lead all facets of marketing and communications for PacificSource’s commercial, individual and government lines of business, including content, brand and customer relations management.

McMaster comes to PacificSource with 15 years of experience as marketing director for three Northwest health plan organizations, and as a small business brand and operational advisor. Most recently, McMaster served as Senior Manager of Marketing Communications Governance for Premera Blue Cross. Prior to that, she was the Director of Operations, Advertising and Marketing Communications for Group Health Cooperative in Seattle.

McMaster, who began working out of PacificSource’s Portland office starting January 11, holds a masters degree in International Relations from the University of San Diego, is fluent in French, and has spent several years living and working overseas.
