Over the next three weeks, hundreds of thousands of seniors will become eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine. Snagging an appointment could be difficult. Some may not be able to get their first dose until early May, which means they won’t be fully vaccinated until the end of May or early June.

With that in mind, here are some resources:

For general information, text ORCOVID to 898211 for updates in English or Spanish or email [email protected].

To sign up online, use the Oregon Health Authority’s tool at covidvaccine.oregon.gov. It will direct you to webpages to sign up or call in your county or to webpages to sign up at the Oregon Convention Center, the PDX site or the Legacy Woodburn Health Center. Oregon Health & Science University also has a webpage to sign up for the PDX site: ohsu.edu/health/vaccine-scheduling-lfrt. You can also go to getvaccinated.oregon.gov to determine whether you are eligible but the site does not let you book an appointment.

If you live in Marion or Polk county, go to Salem Health’s webpage at salemhealth.org/covid-19/covid-vaccine.

You can reach Lynne Terry at [email protected] or on Twitter @LynnePDX.
