“No Really, We Want You to Laugh” is a stand-up comedy show performed by people with a mental illness who find the humor in some of their darkest days and hardest experiences. Awesome Portland recognized the power of Stand Up for Mental Health to fight stigma one joke at a time. Come laugh with us, it makes a difference.
FolkTime’s mission is to provide connection for those living with a mental illness through peer support and community-based activities. The NE Portland Social Program provides meals, classes, outings and a food distribution program, free of charge to more than 100 unique members. “No Really, We Want You to Laugh” will raise funds to bring a 10 week Stand Up For Mental Health course to the NE Portland Social Program supporting and empowering members in their own mental health recovery!
