Malheur County Community Advisory Council (CAC) is excited to announce the fourth annual “Spring into Wellness” fair tour. Over the course of the next four months, we will host seven wellness fairs with over 25 community providers. We’ll kickoff our series in Harper, then travel to Adrian, Jordan Valley, Nyssa, and Willowcreek with our final fair in Vale. During the first three years, we’ve reached over 2,600 residents of Malheur County. Your support through attendance and helping us spread our health and wellness message will be appreciated.
Spring into Wellness fairs have been designed to create easy access for our community members. We’re bringing local community organizations and health care agencies to a central location to inform everyone about services and programs that impact their health. The Malheur County CAC recognizes that health is not only the result of regular doctor and dental visits, but can also be affected by behavioral health and circumstances such as inadequate housing, food, transportation and more. Along with our sponsors, Eastern Oregon Coordinated Care Organization (EOCCO), Malheur County Health District, Ontario St. Alphonsus, Northwest Health Foundation (NWHF), Oregon Problem Gambling Resource (OPGR), and Building Healthy Families, we hope that helping you learn about local, available resources will improve the health and wellness of all Malheur County residents.
Each fair will offer raffles, including two bicycles (one adult and one child sized), as well as gift baskets and door prizes contributed by exhibitors. Free on-site health screenings will also be available, such as eye tests, blood sugar and blood pressure testing, bone density screening, oral health exams and many other services. Expect family-friendly games and activities. Spring into Wellness fairs have something for all ages. We’re excited to see you at one or all of the following events:
