Robert F. Kennedy Medical Plan Chief Administrative Officer Elected to Vice Chair of California Health Care Coalition

Patrick Pine, Chief Administrative Officer of the Robert F. Kennedy Medical Plan as well as the Juan De La Cruz Pension Plan, has been elected to serve as Vice Chair of the California Health Care Coalition. The Robert F. Kennedy Medical Plan was established by Cesar Chavez to serve farmworkers and their families via affiliation with the United Farm Workers (UFW).

Patrick Pine, Chief Administrative Officer of the Robert F. Kennedy Medical Plan as well as the Juan De La Cruz Pension Plan, has been elected to serve as Vice Chair of the California Health Care Coalition. The Robert F. Kennedy Medical Plan was established by Cesar Chavez to serve farmworkers and their families via affiliation with the United Farm Workers (UFW). Patrick Pine has served as the chief administrative officer for five years of both trusts. He supervises Trust staff at the main office in Keene, California as well as a branch office in Calexico, California.

Approximately 90 per cent of plan participants are in California but there are participants in Oregon, Washington, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas as well.

The California Health Care Coalition is a nonprofit association with membership from multiple benefit plans in California and currently includes multiple groups such as the benefit trusts for the San Diego Electrical Workers and Northern California Carpenters as well as the benefit trusts for several school districts and cooperative benefit purchasing groups.

Patrick Pine previously served as president of the Oregon Coalition of Health Care Purchasers and president of the Oregon Municipal Finance Officers Association.

He and his wife Debbie reside in Tehachapi, California.
