(Portland, OR) – At their public meeting on Friday, March 4, Health Share of Oregon’s Community Advisory Council will hear presentations focused on current developments related to behavioral health, including from Dr. Tony Melaragno of Legacy Health.The meeting, which begins at 12:30pm, will be held at the Clackamas County Developmental Services Building, Auditorium room 150 located at 150 Beavercreek Road in Oregon City.
Dr. Melaragno will provide an update on the opening of the Unity Center for Behavioral Health including what programs and services are being developed. The Unity Center is a collaborative effort between Adventist Health, Kaiser Permanente, Legacy Health and Oregon Health & Science University. This innovative and patient-centered care model will serve adults and adolescents experiencing a mental or behavioral health crisis. The Unity Center is projected to open in late 2016.
In addition, Devarshi Bajpai, Medicaid Program Manager of Multnomah County, will share Health Share’s plans for creating a Regional Behavioral Health System of Care through the integration of the mental health and substance use benefits. This benefit integration will improve access and quality of care for members, especially those experiencing dual diagnosis.
The meeting is open to the public and Health Share members are encouraged to attend.
