(SPRINGFIELD, Ore.)—Promoting from within its own ranks, PacificSource Health Plans has tapped Josh Bishop for its top post in Idaho.

As Vice President and Idaho Regional Director, Bishop will lead PacificSource’s Idaho team — which includes offices in Boise and Idaho Falls — and will continue to partner and build relationships with communities, businesses, and provider groups across the Gem State.

Bishop previously served as PacificSource’s Director of Pharmacy Services, and as executive director of its Columbia Gorge CCO in Oregon, where he successfully collaborated with public and private stakeholders to improve access to care and streamline costs.

“Josh brings a wealth of experience, expertise, and an understanding of the PacificSource family to his new position,” said Ken Provencher, president of PacificSource. “He will fit seamlessly into the Idaho Regional Director position and will be a tremendous asset when it comes to collaborating on the state and local levels, on both public and private initiatives that will benefit all Idahoans.”

Prior to joining PacificSource in 2008, Bishop worked for Rocky Mountain Health Plans in Colorado and for Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis, Ore. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmaD) in 2006 from Oregon Health Sciences University and Oregon State University.
