January 7, 2014

In an effort to inform and enroll individuals throughout Oregon, Idaho, and Montana, PacificSource Health Plans is launching the "Get Out, Get Covered Tour" (www.GetOutGetCovered.com). Featuring 95 events in 56 communities from January 13 through late March, "Get Out, Get Covered" events will focus on enrolling those without current plans, educating audiences on healthcare reform, and clarifying individual coverage questions.

"No two health insurance situations are alike, and this tour is intended to provide the public with a forum where they can get individual answers to individual questions from real people in a one-on-one format," said Ken Provencher, CEO of PacificSource Health Plans. "Whether you live in Portland, Oregon, or Jerome, Idaho, Great Falls, Montana, or one of the other 53 markets we intend to visit, the message is simple: PacificSource Health Plans is coming to your community to help get you enrolled in the plan that’s right for you."

The informational sessions, which will serve as a resource for individuals looking to enroll in a health insurance plan, will feature a series of "consulting stations" that allow consumers to engage in one-on-one and small group conversation with PacificSource representatives providing the opportunity to:

-Ask individual questions and find answers to frequently asked questions

-Find out if they are eligible for a tax credit

-Explore specific plans and costs

-Enroll in an appropriate plan

-Find a primary care physician

-Walk away with a comprehensive "grab & go" information kit containing pertinent materials

Get Out, Get Covered Tour events will be held during daytime and evening hours. Venues such as community recreation centers, hospitals, and cafes will host daytime events, while restaurants, community centers, and other neighborhood gathering spots will host eveningevents. The events feature a drop-in format that allows individuals to stop by at any point during a 2-3 hour window of time for one-on-one consulting. Specific meeting dates, times, and locations, can be found online at http://www.GetOutGetCovered.com.
