Portland, OR, October 10, 2017 - The OR Chapter of HIMSS is pleased to announce a Nursing Informatics Panel focusing on informaticists role as A Vital Bridge Across Clinical Leadership, Organizational Structure, and Strategy. This event will be held at Portland Brewing Company on Wednesday, October 25th, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Attendees will experience a "Day in the Life" of a Nursing Informaticist as panelists from Kaiser Permanente, Providence, OHSU, and Mid-Columbia Medical Center share how their work advances clinical and business strategies, and the lessons they've learned in their roles. The panel will discuss their efforts to implement effective practices around:
· Optimizing EHR systems, workflow, and adoption
· Applying data and analytics to improve care for patients and populations
· Creating a learning culture that supports front line staff and management in embracing changing practices, roles, and organizational structures
