Oregon Center for Nursing and the American Nurse Project Highlight the Many Faces of Nursing

July 16, 2013 – To honor the diverse work of nurses in Oregon, the American Nurse Project will unveil portraits of three local nurses at the Oregon Center for Nursing (OCN) fundraising breakfast, “The Many Faces of Nursing,” on Tuesday, September 24 at the Oregon Zoo.

July 16, 2013 – To honor the diverse work of nurses in Oregon, the American Nurse Project will unveil portraits of three local nurses at the Oregon Center for Nursing (OCN) fundraising breakfast, “The Many Faces of Nursing,” on Tuesday, September 24 at the Oregon Zoo.

 

The American Nurse Project is a national project to elevate the voice of nurses in this country by capturing their personal stories through photography and film. Project supporter Rhonda Collins, MSN, RN, Vice President and Business Manager for Infusion Technology - Medical Devices at Fresenius Kabi, USA will reveal portraits of an educator, students, and community-based care providers, who will be included on the American Nurse Project website. Oregon is the 13th state to be included in the Project.

 

“The American Nurse Project has portrayed the diverse work of nurses nationwide in such an elegant way,” said Mary Rita Hurley, OCN’s Executive Director. “We are excited to honor the nurses who participated in this photography project and to recognize the multifaceted work of all nurses in Oregon

 

.”
