OHSU Harold Schnitzer Diabetes Health Center hosts free event for those affected by diabetes

Sixth annual Pacific Northwest Diabetes Summit designed to educate, connect, support
November 4, 2013
Diabetes is rising in prevalence. By the year 2050, one-third of our nation's population will likely be affected. Moreover, nearly 80 million people in the United States have prediabetes, meaning they have a high risk of developing diabetes, and many people who have the disease are undiagnosed. As one of the premier academic medical centers on the West Coast offering comprehensive diabetes care for children and adults, the Harold Schnitzer Diabetes Health Center at Oregon Health & Science University is presenting the sixth annual Pacific Northwest Diabetes Summit. Sponsored by Novo Nordisk, the summit is designed to help educate, connect and support those affected by diabetes.
