OHEA Recognizes 2016 Wins and Legislative Leadership for Health Equity

What: The Oregon Health Equity Alliance will hold a rally on the Capitol Steps celebrating key 2016 legislative wins and recognize key legislative leaders for health equity on Tuesday, May 24th, 2016 at 11:30 AM.

Speakers will highlight successful legislation advancing solutions to Oregon’s 383,000 uninsured, and policies to strengthen Oregon’s social determinants of health.  Over 100 community activists from across Oregon will be joined by Governor Kate Brown to present awards to Speaker Tina Kotek, Senator Alan Bates, Representative Andy Olson, Representative Vic Gilliam, Representative Alissa Keny-Guyer, and Representative Lew Frederick.  Later, Governor Brown will sign the COFA Healthcare Premium Assistance Bill (HB 4071) at 1:40 PM in the Governor’s Ceremonial Office.
