Officers Elected to Oregon Academy of Family Physicians Board

April 29, 2013 - The Oregon Academy of Family Physicians (OAFP) elected a new slate of officers at their Annual Spring CME Weekend which was held April 13 at Salishan Lodge in Gleneden Beach. The new officers are Evan Saulino, M.D., Ph.D., Portland, President; Elizabeth Powers, M.D., Enterprise, President-Elect; Lisa Dodson, M.D., Portland, Vice President; Dan Paulson, M.D., Springfield, Secretary and Peter Reagan, M.D., Portland, Treasurer.

Meg Hayes, M.D., Portland, and Michael Grady, M.D., Silverton, are the Delegates to the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and Glenn Rodriguez, M.D., Portland and Elizabeth Steiner Hayward, M.D., Portland, are the Alternate Delegates to the AAFP.

Mari Ricker, M.D., Portland, is the OMA Delegate.

Molly Fauth, M.D., Hood River, is the Speaker of the Congress and Marc Carey, M.D., Ph.D., Portland, is Vice Speaker of the Congress.

Kelly Patterson, M.D., Klamath Falls, is the Resident Director and Nathan Defrees, Portland, is the Student Director.

Two new members were elected to the board, Lance McQuillan, M.D., Corvallis, and Te-Yu Ruth Chang, M.D., Portland. In addition, Betsy Anderson, M.D., Heppner, Mike Hodulik, M.D., Florence, Kevin Johnston, M.D., Burns, and Sarah Lamanuzzi, M.D., Klamath Falls, are current board directors.

The Executive Director of the OAFP is Kerry Gonzales.

The Oregon Academy of Family Physicians is the largest medical specialty society in Oregon and represents more than 1,400 family physicians, residents and medical students throughout the state. The mission of the OAFP is to support family physicians in their pursuit of optimal health for the people of Oregon and the vision of the OAFP is health and vitality for all Oregonians.
