NorthWest Health Foundation Names Kenneth Hart to Board

PORTLAND, Ore.— The Northwest Health Foundation has named Kenneth Hart, CPA to its governing board of directors, following a selection process overseen by its nominating committee.

Hart is the President of Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Ontario. He’s deeply involved in his eastern Oregon community, currently serving as the chairman of the Ontario School District Facilities Committee, as well as a board member of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce. He’s also on Malheur County Poverty to Prosperity’s executive committee and the City of Ontario Public Works Committee.

“At Northwest Health Foundation, we see health as more than just healthcare,” said Foundation president Nichole June Maher. “It is clear that Ken understands this, too. I know he joins our board in supporting the Foundation’s vision of giving every person the opportunity to lead a healthy life, through education, economic opportunity and advocacy, as well as healthcare.”

“As someone who lives and works in a rural, eastern Oregon town, I see firsthand every day how closely connected health is to community,” said Ken Hart. “That’s why I’m excited to join the Northwest Health Foundation board. They champion efforts to improve health that are inclusive, collaborative and led by communities.”

Ken is the President of Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Ontario.

Before joining Saint Alphonsus in 2013, Ken worked as the Chief Financial Officer at Gentry Auto Group. He's also worked at Treasure Valley Community College, American Red Cross - Oregon Trail Chapter and Deloitte, as well as in the office of U.S. Senator Mark Hatfield.

Ken is deeply involved in his eastern Oregon community. Currently he serves as the chairman of the Ontario School District Facilities Committee, as well as a board member of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce. Ken is married with four kids. He has one horse, one rabbit and two dogs.
