Today, NARAL Pro-Choice America President Ilyse Hogue released the following statement in response to Congressional Republicans’ proposal to defund Planned Parenthood and repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA):
"The GOP plan is an insult to the countless Americans who have been marching in the streets, flooding phone lines, and crowding town halls in opposition to an ACA repeal. This new bill is a greatest hits of failed Republican proposals, and put the health care of millions of women and families at risk. In short: this bill is dangerous and does nothing to improve American’s access to quality and affordable medical care.
"The GOP obsession with repealing the ACA and defunding Planned Parenthood is a perilous one that comes with a high cost to the public, and to the GOP's future in politics.
