May 22, 2013 – The Mid-Valley Behavioral Care Network (MVBCN) is seeking qualified candidates who will be able to apply a high level of creative thinking and collaborative leadership to guide MVBCN’s participation in Oregon’s continuing health care transformation as the agency’s Executive Director.

The Executive Director position requires excellent organization management, planning and financial skills; a commitment to advocate and consumer community inclusion and collaboration; and an ability to navigate and lead a highly successful organization in a complex and rapidly changing external environment.

Mid-Valley Behavioral Care Network, located in Salem, Oregon, is a progressive managed behavioral healthcare organization directed by a partnership of consumer-advocates and service providers who offer a continuum of mental health and chemical dependency services in Linn, Marion, Polk, and Yamhill Counties. MVBCN contracts services for more than 100,000 Oregon Health Plan members.

MVBCN facilitates access to a regional organization of innovative and high quality providers who contribute to a healthier community through collaborative participation in affordable, integrated health care. Coordinated Care Organizations (CCOs) in the mid-Willamette Valley contract with MVBCN to manage and provide mental health and substance abuse treatment services to Oregon Health Plan Medicaid members. The MVBCN regional office provides central administrative services including quality improvement planning and oversight, information systems and financial management.
