November 2, 2016

The Board of the Mid-Valley Behavioral Care Network (MVBCN) is pleased to announce the appointment of Cindy Becker as the new Executive Director, effective November 2, 2016. MVBCN is part of the Willamette Valley Community Health CCO, and is responsible for managing mental health services for OHP members in Marion and Polk counties.

Becker brings more than 25 years of experience to this role including executive positions in the public and private sectors. She served as deputy director for the Department of Human Services (pre-OHA), director of Clackamas Health, Housing & Human Services, Vice President of FamilyCare Health, and has provided consulting to a variety of agencies in Oregon and Washington. She is well-versed in health transformation both at the policy and implementation levels.

Becker recently completed an organizational assessment of the MVBCN and made a series of systems and structural recommendations to improve services to consumers with mental illness and their families.

“Cindy’s health transformation experience, commitment to quality services, and knowledge of MVBCN’s challenges and opportunities made her a great choice for this important position,” stated Craig Pope, Chairman of MVBCN. “Under her leadership, we’re looking forward to enhancing mental health services in the region.”
