SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – PeaceHealth recently announced that Mary Kingston, RN, FACHE, will join the organization on July 30 as chief executive of the PeaceHealth Oregon network.
Mary is a seasoned healthcare leader with 30 years of broad executive experience - with more than 10 years dedicated to leadership in Catholic healthcare.
Most recently, Mary served as chief executive of two acute care hospitals with Providence St. Joseph Health in California. In this role, she netted significant impacts in the areas of growth, integration and population health; physician relations; quality; engagement, and financial stability. Examples of her achievements include:
- Executing a clinically integrated network focused on service line development and growth with the recruitment of specialists.
- Attaining Magnet Designation and Leapfrog A designation at both hospitals.
- Expanding the Lean process to include Lean Daily Management.
Mary also has held roles as chief operating officer, vice president of performance improvement and clinical excellence, assistant vice president of quality and director of nursing.

Mary earned her bachelor of nursing degree from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Ill., and her master’s degree in business and nursing administration from the University of California, Los Angeles. Mary holds a Lean Black Belt Certification and is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Mary and her husband Robert, a retired emergency department physician who is practicing as an advanced wound care physician, are looking forward to making Lane County their new home, where they are excited to meet new people, to participate in outdoor activities and cheer on the University of Oregon Ducks.
