Malheur Community Advisory Council (CAC) is excited to announce the second annual “Spring into Wellness Fair” Tour

March 2, 2016

Malheur Community Advisory Council (CAC) is excited to announce the second annual “Spring into Wellness Fair” Tour. Over the course of the next four months seven wellness fairs and over 20 community providers will be traveling from Ontario to Harper, Adrian, Jordan Valley, Willowcreek, Nyssa and ending in Vale. Our first series of Wellness Fairs last year reached over 600 community members in Malheur County, and we hope that additional sites added this year will help reach over 1,000 community members. Please attend to help us reach our goal and increase your health awareness!

Local Spring Into Wellness Fairs have been designed to create easier access to services for our community members by bringing local community service organizations and health care agencies together in one central location to inform everyone about services that impact health. The Malheur Community Advisory Council recognizes that health is not only the result of regular doctor and dental visits, but can also be impacted by behavioral health and circumstances such as inadequate housing, food, transportation and more. Along with our sponsors, Eastern Oregon Coordinated Care Organization and the Northwest Health Foundation, we hope that helping you learn more about local resources available will improve the health and wellness of all Malheur County residents.

At each fair, there will be raffles, including two bikes (one adult and one child sized), two gift baskets and door prizes contributed by exhibitors. Free on-site health screenings will also be available, including eye tests, blood sugar testing, bone density screening, and mammograms. Expect family-friendly games and activities, as well as free books for youth ages 0 to 6. There is something at the Spring IntoWellness Fair for all ages. Please plan to attend one of the following dates:

  • Ontario Area: March 09, 2016; Ontario High School Commons; 3pm-5pm
  • Harper Area: March 31, 2016; Harper School Gym; 4pm-6pm
