Beverly Moser, RN, BSN, OCN, an Oncology Nurse with Compass Oncology in Portland, Ore. has been named as one of three finalists for Cure Magazine’s national Extraordinary Healer™ Award for Oncology Nursing. The award is designed to honor oncology nurses whose compassion, expertise and helpfulness has made a significant difference in the lives of their patients. Beverly was nominated by Aghdas Ashtari, a nurse from Iran who was being treated at Compass Oncology’s Rose Quarter office for non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
“I speak very little English, but Beverly needed no English and always read my mind. We mostly talked with our eyes,” wrote Ashtari in her translated essay. “She knew I was scared and lonely. She always went above and beyond to make me comfortable.”
